Rainbow Rowell is one of the best authors I discovered this year, so of course I am super excited about the release of another young adult book from her, expected publication 2013. From the summary, Fangirl seems like the perfect story for our times: the joys and trials of growing up told from the point of view of a girl who prefers living inside other people’s stories. I am also interested to see how Rowell portrays the culture of fanfiction, something that I don’t think has been explored in YA lit as of yet. Rowell is introducing a whole new aspect of adolescence to the YA genre, and I have no doubt it will be just as fantastic as Eleanor & Park was.
