Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill from Breaking the Spine, and specifically spotlights upcoming novels we can’t wait to read. This week I’m excited for…
We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
A beautiful and distinguished family.
A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.
A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive.
A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.
Oh. My. God. Words cannot express how much I want this book. It just became available on NetGalley, and I NEED it. I honestly think if I’m not accepted for it, I’ll cry tears of blood. Delacorte, hear my cry, and don’t make me sob tears of blood.
Truth be told, the summary above doesn’t really say a whole lot about the book. I don’t care. I can already tell I’ll love it. It sounds dark and twisty, the perfect combination for me.
People are already raving about it on Goodreads, including one of my favorite bloggers, Jamie at The Perpetual Page Turner, and saying how amazing it is. It doesn’t even come out until May, so it must be good. Its ratings are all super high, and seeing all the positive reviews is making me salivate for it even more.
Please, please, PLEASE, NetGalley, I’ll never ask for anything else. I just want this book.
